Harishchandragad is located in Ahmednagar district in Maharashtra in Malshej ghats and has a powerful history behind. It was built in 6th century by Kalachuri dynasty. It was controlled by Moghuls as well and the mighty Marathas conquered it in 1747.
There are 4-5 routes to reach Harishchandragad fort; way from Khireshwar, way from Belpada, way from Kothale and also Nalichi vaat.
Harishchandragad has some of the best ancient places that includes 4-5 rock patches, steep mountains which lies at 80 degrees. Huge Ganesh Idol in the caves, Sapthatirtha Pushkarni, Kedareshwar Cave, Konkan kada (cliff), Taramati peak, caves of Harishchandragad and Harishchandreshwar Temple.
