Korigad Fort, nestled in the Western Ghats near Lonavala, is a picturesque destination perfect for a one-day trek. Accessible from the village of Peth Shahpur, the well-marked trail makes it ideal for beginners or families seeking a blend of adventure and heritage. The climb takes about an hour, leading to a vast plateau with intact fortification walls, scenic viewpoints, and ancient temples dedicated to Korai Devi and Vishnu. Along with the trek, our event also includes a visit to the nearby Bedse Caves, a lesser-known gem dating back to the 1st century BCE. These rock-cut Buddhist caves feature intricately carved stupas, prayer halls, and pillars that offer a glimpse into ancient Indian craftsmanship and spiritual life. The combination of a historical fort and ancient caves makes this experience enriching and well-rounded. During monsoon, the landscape comes alive with mist, greenery, and waterfalls, making it a perfect weekend escape into nature and history.
