Bhigwan Nature Tours Pune Mumbai
About 110 kilometres south of Pune on the Pune Solapur highway sits the little, dusty town of Bhigwan. A little further on lies the tiny village of Kumbhargaon, which is home to flamingos every year when they migrate. Kumbhargaon is home to numerous different birds, including Asian Open bill Storks, Moorhens, herons, ducks, and painted storks. This is because the area is situated on the banks of the Ujani Backwater. It is estimated that there are up to 50 distinct species of birds.

Large, long-legged birds noted for their migrations are called flamingos. With their incredibly powerful wings, they are a species that can fly over seas. When the bird hatches, its plumage is a brownish red tint; as it grows older, it changes to a vivid red colour.

Records of Dharmaveergad are available since the times of Yadavas of Devgiri. There are handful of ancient temples in the periphery of the fort. Apart from other historical records, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was brought to this fort when he was captured by Aurangzeb.
