Rohida Adventure Treks Pune Mumbai

Rohida is a fantastic trekking destination of all seasons. This is an all time favorite trek of all trekkers. Located about 10 kilo meters from Bhor in Pune District.

Built during yadava dynasty, the bastions and entrances still stand strong. There is a series of Ganesha idols (ganeshpatti) on the first entrance. Second entrance has a water cistern which supplies water year round. The third gate has artistic carvings and inscriptions in Marathi & Farsi.

The fort was handed over to mughals during the Purandar Treaty in 1666, and captured again by The Great King Shivaji Maharaj in 1670. The mughals again captured it for a brief period and The Pant Sachiv of Bhor recaptured it and was under their rule until the merger of all provinces post-independence.
